WebMay 30, 2024 · That whole run under the roof rack and trim is a semi solid putty/caulk seam which is why the paint shows the cracks. Same for the FEs without the roof rack. It is this puttied seam that is the issue more than the rack itself. Hope that did the trick for you. My leak was a disconnected sunroof drain line. Some people even take preventative steps and remove the rails and replace the sealant.
