WebHoplites in Rome2 are not even remotely accurate. They fight 300 style in lose formations, underarm grips, and either run out of formation or stand there like generic spear-dudes. I don't even like calling them hoplites because I'm so enthralled with hoplites myself, normally I just call them Greek spear-men. WebI'm pretty sure you're asking about underhand. ;)

Apparently the Thebans did fight nude for a while, because they has some sort of Cult Of The Body going on. I have a very nice all-nude hoplite army for DBA using Museum Miniatures.
